The V-Block Telecommunications Centre sits in the centre of the Nedlands QEII Medical Centre and has housed the Control Room for the PA address and paging communications, connecting the entire site, for over 26 years.
Swan Group was tasked with the critical works to facilitate the upgrade of existing cabling into the Telecommunications Centre from the QEIIMC site now incorporates the new Perth Children’s Hospital.
Along with electrical works, Swan Group delivered the demolition and fitout of the V-Block first floor area to accommodate additional operator consoles to handle call volume and emergency management responsibilities.
Ceiling and partition installation services came from Swan Interiors and the joinery package was also directly manufactured and installed by internal division, Swan Architectural Finishes.
Our client and the stakeholders commended Swan Group on again providing a quality product for the NMHS while also managing the seamless transition from an outdated communications system to the new which is now an example of industry leading technology.
